I’m just looking for the cheapest web hosting company to get my website online. I do not need anything too elaborate. My website is purely informational and does not include any ecommerce or databases. I also don’t expect to receive much traffic either. What is a good affordable web host you would recommend?
I would recommend ipage. They are a pretty good web host and offer very cheap prices. You can check them out at http://www.ipage.com.
If you are looking for something really affordable, but still offers great performance, then try Web Hosting Hub. Their hosting is fairly affordable, but more importantly, they offer really good speeds and technical support.

I would imagine Ipage is probably one of the best cheap web hosts. They offer a lot of features (even though you probably wont need too many of them with just a simple website). I would probably give them a try first and see how that goes.
I would also recommend iPage. They’re having a special right now where you can buy their hosting for a little over $2 each month. You can learn more about them on their website at http://www.ipage.com.
How cheap are you looking for? I imagine you are looking at shared web hosting plans. Most of these will cost around $3-5 per month. I think iPage might even be a little less expensive. You can try them out and if you’re not happy with them, then you can always move on to a more expensive web host.

I wouldnt go with iPage or Just Host. They are both owned by the same company. The cheapest web host I would recommend is Hub at http://www.webhostinghub.com. You can get web hosting from them for roughly $4 bucks a month. Thats affordable and they will save you from a lot of frustration down the road. iPage and Just Host are known to have a lot of performance issues. Your website will just randomly go down frequently which is probably why they offer such a low price. Its not worth it.

Remember cheap isnt always the best. Web hosting is relatively cheap already. I think you can surely afford to spend $5-8 a month? I would choose Hub over iPage because its just a better web host. They are a bit more expensive, but will ultimately provide better performance and much less frustration down the road.
